ArtCap takes a principled approach with respect to each investment opportunity, following and applying a core set of principles so that each opportunity can be evaluated against consistent investment criteria but with the understanding that each opportunity is unique and must stand on its own merits.
The team has deep knowledge of the region and strong relationships with a broad base of clients spanning more than 15 countries as well as a strong network of investors and financial partners.
With over USD10bn worth of executed transactions, the team has proven know-how and capacity to identify, analyze, and invest in a wide range of transactions.

Served as Head of financials and sovereign coverage for Central America, Caribbean, and Colombia at Credit Suisse.
Extensive experience in the loan structuring and syndication business, in connection with acquisition finance, liability management, bridge loans, covered loans, securitizations, and loan structures with multilateral agencies.
Graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas in Austin, with a dual degree in Finance and Economics, and a minor in International Business.
Managing Partner
Led the Credit Suisse structuring team tasked with handling structuring for the bank’s financing operations in Latin America (ex-Brazil).
Specializes in structured finance including secured bi-lateral and syndicated loans in addition to many other lending structures such as CLOs, DPRs, TRS, CDS and CLNs.
Dual JD and MA from George Washington University in Law and International Affairs and dual degree from Boston University with a BA in Economics and BS in Business Administration.
Managing Partner
Served as Chief Commercial Officer at Bladex, responsible for the bank’s Business and Commercial activities.
Built Bladex’s Loan Structuring and Syndications business.
Prior to Bladex, he worked in the Credit, Commodities, and Corporate & Investment Banking departments of large international banks such as BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered Bank, covering the Latin America and Caribbean region extensively.
MBA from Columbia University in New York, and an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
